Customization of GIS application with academic and commercial programming tools. Topics include GIS user-interface design, advanced functions and tools coding, fundamental spatial data structures and algorithms, and geospatial database design and management.

Prerequisite: GEOG 379 or GEOG 473 or any other equivalent introductory GIS course.
