Topic: Ovid Transformed Few ancient works have exerted as profound and widespread an influence on Western culture as Ovid?s Metamorphoses, an epic compendium of mythological transformations and stories of thwarted desire. This course will enable students to explore Ovid?s playful masterpiece in depth and to survey its influence on literature and art of all sorts from antiquity to the 21st century.
