This course aims to educate, create knowledge and place research about subsistence marketplaces in the hands and minds of those in different parts of the world that can and want to make a difference. The first modules of the course will focus on understanding subsistence marketplaces - i.e, needs, consumers, entrepreneurs and marketplaces in the context of subsistence where much of humanity resides and survives. The second module focuses on designing solutions - i.e., core goods and services, ecosystems, and enterprise plans. The course will use the Coursera online learning platform and students will have to agree to Coursera-related terms of use.
