This class examines the role of digital fabrication in contemporary art and design through the combination of computer aided design software instruction (Rhino3d) and the use of digital fabrication equipment (laser cutter, CNC router, 3D printer). The emphasis of the course will be on quality of form and content rather than technical expertise. Through tutorials, projects and individual problems, students will examine the uses and implications of digital fabrication methods in their fields and their own practice. Open to all students.
