TItle: Informatics for Recreation, Sport and Tourism 3 credit hours Course Description: This course involves the practical use of digital media and information technology for a variety of recreation, sport and tourism applications. Students will have the opportunity to design their own websites, publish magazines, upload videos, use social media and creat mobile advertisements. The Course is taught online. Weekly live sessions are combined with instructions, demonstrations, and information posted on Compass. Students are expected to participate in weekly class discussions and the completion of relevant digital assignments. No previous experience with graphic production, computer programming or marketing communications is required.
