Overview of major theories and research in the field of developmental psychopathology. An emphasis will be placed on understanding how psychopathology is conceptualized from a developmental perspective. Topics will involve issues related to etiology, assessment, classification/diagnosis, and intervention. A range of psychological problems in childhood and adolescence will be discussed to illustrate the central themes.

Prerequisite: PSYC 100 and either PSYC 216 or PSYC 238, or consent of instructor.
