You take the role of a public relations or public affairs professional to learn how they deal with the media when managing a crisis for a client, whether it is a multinational corporation or an athlete. You will get a look at the inner workings of a major public relations firm devoted to telling the truth while also managing the media message. Course may open to sophomores by 8:30 am on November 11th.

Documentary. Documentaries are more popular today than at any time in history. In this course we will learn about the history and development of the documentary form, and learn to analyze and deconstruct contemporary documentaries, looking at ethical issues such as bias, credibility, fairness, representation, privacy, production choices, and funding and its influence. We will screen many great programs that you have probably never seen before. After this course you will see the possibilities of documentary in a whole new light. Please note: This is NOT a production course. You will not be making a documentary. Course may open to sophomores by 8:30 am on November 11th.
