HORT 456
Spring 2012 All Classes
Credit: 0 TO 5 hours.
This studio will allow students from different disciplines to work together developing design alternatives for a multifunctional landscape. Students will learn to work at multiple scales, considering the surrounding context, the site itself, and detailed features within the large site. For some projects, students will work in teams, since most 'real-world' projects require participation among multiple experts. Instructor- and student-led discussions will focus on scientific and popular literature in horticulture, urban agriculture, ecological design, and landscape ecology, and students are encouraged to synthesize and translate the material into design solutions.
Same as LA 456. Prerequisite: HORT 255 and a Landscape Graphic course.
