Comparative study of major works from Europe and the Americas from Enlightenment to the contemporary period, emphasizing literary, cultural, and philosophical traditions, and cross-cultural contact. Authors studied may include Voltaire, Goethe, Melville, Flaubert, Dostoevsky, Joyce, Kafka, and Calvino.
Prerequisite: Completion of campus Composition I general education requirement.
