Section Info:
Practicum in teaching literature and culture. Open to Slavic Department graduate students only, with approval of instructor. Will involve workshop on teaching strategies, lesson plans, handouts, powerpoints, and assignments, and offerpractical experience conducting a class or classes in an undergraduate course in Russian literature. Feedback from undergraduate students, colleagues in the practicum, and instructor in the course. 1 credit. Class meets 7 times fall 2012; meeting times to be arranged, but enrollees must be able to attend atleast three meetings of RUSS 220, which meets second half of the semester (Beginning Oct. 22) MWF 2-3:40.
