Fundamentals of Nuclear Engrg

Credit: 4 hours.

Background for advanced work in nuclear engineering; problems in materials, heat transfer, and fluid flow; special emphasis on basic ideas and the mathematical similarity of problems in heat transfer, fluid flow, and neutron diffusion. Lecture-problem format.

Prerequisite: NPRE 247; credit or concurrent registration in NPRE 446.
