Topic: "Puerto Ricans in the Diaspora." This course will examine the social, political, cultural history of Puerto Ricans in the diaspora, dating from 1898 to the present. We will examine the historic and political settings that have shaped. Puerto Rican migration, as well as the constructions of Puerto Rican national and diaspora identity through historical readings, literature, and film.
