Immersion Journalism, is taught by Professor Leon Dash, Swanlund Chair in Journalism and winner of the Pulitzer Prize for his work as a reporter for The Washington Post. Students are taught how to conduct ethnographic research based on ?immersion? techniques that Professor Dash perfected while traveling with guerrilla fighters in Angola and talking with inner-city families in violence-torn Washington, D.C.
