Genomic Biology This course will explore genomic and genetic resources and analytical tools available to enrich and accelerate modern biological research. We will focus primarily on ?Next-gen? sequencing and its applications, including genome sequencing/resequencing, transcriptome analysis, DNA modification, and chromatin immunoprecipitation. Lectures and reading will focus on the experimental methods and biological applications, supported by reading of recent literature. In-class exercises and assignments will focus on the use of public databases and analytical software available for practical research use. Basic knowledge of genome structure and regulation is needed but advanced programming skills are not required.
