Covers principles generally applicable to insurance law and includes distinctive rules governing certain types of insurance coverage; objectives are to examine the nature of the insurance contract, marketing of insurance, principles of indemnity, individuals and entities protected by insurance rules, and risks that are shifted by insurance coverage.
