Section Info:
Field trip to Cyprus during 2011 Spring Break. The class will explore the nature of the oceanic crust and uppermantle through field study of this classic example of an ophiolite. The trip assumes a background in geology and is intended primarily for geology majors and graduate students. Prerequisites: At least one 400-level geology course, and permission of the instructor. 4 hrs. Field trip fee required and exact amount to be determined, approximately $1100.
