Examines relations among countries in the Eastern Mediterranean and addresses the political and cultural influence of Western Europe and the European Union in this area. Focus on foreign policy, history, culture and society of countries in the Balkan Peninsula and the Middle East (Greece, Turkey, Israel, Egypt, the successor states of the former Yugoslavia).
