Cutting-edge engineering technologies applied to molecular and cellular biology research. Methods to monitor, measure, manipulate, and model the properties of genes, molecules, and cells to advance understanding of the complex biological system. Recombinant DNA technologies, RNA and protein technologies, genetic engineering approaches for fluorescence biosensors and live-cell imaging, signaling regulation and tissue engineering.
Prerequisite: MCB 250.
