May be repeated. Prerequisite: CHEM 532 and CHEM 534, both of which may be taken concurrently.

MECHANISMS OF ORGANOMETALLIC REACTIONS This is taught the first half of the semester. A survey of the structure, bonding, reactivity, and reaction mechanisms of organometallic complexes of the transition elements. The course will begin with fundamental principles and conclude with catalytic applications of organometallic chemistry.
