Topic: Writing for Publication. Writing for Publication provides an opportunity for students to (1) engage contemporary research, and scholarly audiences in fields of inquiry relevant to their own academic disciplines, (2) participate in a community of inquiry through discussions, formal presentations, and peer reviews of one another's research and writings in process; and (3) submit their work to a scholarly journal or professional society for evaluation and possible publication. Other scholarly writing goals identified by students are also welcome, including but not limited to preparation of presentations at scholarly conferences, pilot study preparation, preparation for qualifying and preliminary examinations, and thesis/dissertation preparation.
