Credit: 4 hours Section Info: The course will address virtually every area of philosophy (except formal logic) using works of Plato and Aristotle as our points of entry. The texts for the course are Plato's Republic, the Grube/Reeve translation (Hackett) and The Philosophy of Aristotle, edited by R. Bambrough (Mentor Books/NAL or Signet Classic). The course will have a lecture-discussion format and, as course work, a mid-term and a final exam.
