Credit: 2 OR 4 hours.

Studies the library's physical plant in the light of changing concepts and patterns of library service; analyzes present-day library buildings (both new and remodeled), and their comparison with each other as well as with buildings of the past; examines the interrelationship of staff, collections, users, and physical plant; discussion supplemented by visits to new libraries and conference with their staffs. A two-day field trip is required.

Additional field trip fee required.

2 or 4 hours (be sure to enroll in your desired amount of credit). Meets the last two weeks of SS1: Tuesday-Friday, June 1-June 4, and Monday-Friday, June 7-June 11. Required overnight field trip Wednesday & Thursday, June 9 & 10. A $95 non-waivedl field trip course fee will be assessed to the student's tuition and fees bill. (The final fee amount could change depending on course enrollment.) The student will also be responsible for one night's lodging and their meals.
