Student instructions: Students are recommended to have high speed internet access for the use of the Elluminate Software system for the live class sessions. Also required is an external microphone or microphone/headset (preferred for better quality sound) for required course discussions during the online virtual classroom sessions. Not intended for students with Freshman class standing but open to any major except News-Editorial Journalism. Those in News-Editorial Journalism should take JOUR 420. Students may access the Chicago Manual of Style (one of the required readings) for free via the U of I library using their Net ID and password at http://www.library.illinois.edu/rex/erefs/citing.html. Disregard the assessment notations listed above. The graduate tuition rate for this section is $309 per credit hour; the undergrad tuition rate is $277 per credit hour. All students in this section will also be assessed a $45 per credit hour administration fee. These per credit hour assessments are not included in campus range assessments.
