Credit: 3 hours.

Investigates the myth and reality of "Scandinavian Sexualities" as presented in texts, primarily fiction, from the early nineteenth century to today. Starting with Romanticism's understanding of feminine nature, the course moves on to topics of morality debates, independence movements, prostitution, sexual liberation, homosexuality, and social gender equality.

Same as CWL 375 and GWS 375. Prerequisite: One college-level literature, arts, or film course or one course in women's studies, or consent of instructor.
