Credit: 4 hours.
Basic scaling theory; metric, non-metric, and individual differences multidimensional scaling models and methodology, emphasizing underlying assumptions and interpretation; and applications of scaling methods to measurement problems in social and personality psychology, perception, cognition, and sociology.
Same as SOC 589. PSYC 506 is recommended but not required. Prerequisite: PSYC 407, SOC 587, or equivalent course in quantitative methods.
