Comparative study of the rise of the working class in European countries; formation, culture, and daily life; stratification within the working class; workers in organized labor and revolutionary movements.
Same as LER 450 and SOC 422. 3 undergraduate hours. 2 or 4 graduate hours. Prerequisite: One year of college history or consent of instructor.
