Am Indians in Film, Take Two
Section Info:
American Indians in film, Take 2. The emphasis will be to study the images of American Indians in classic Hollywood films. Students will be required to screen a list of classic films on their own, and then write, produce, film, and direct a short film about American Indians without using stereotypes. We will work in teams. The goal of this course is to understand how stereotypes function in film, and how to work against stereotypes. Prerequisites: AIS 275 or consent of instructor.
