Introduction to Angel and Venture Capital Investing. The objective of this course is to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the nature of the Angel and venture investing process. Topics covered will include: The nature and motivations of Angel and Venture investors; how prospective investments are identified and screened; early stage company valuation; potential deal structuring and negotiating; due diligence; investor/company interaction and strategies for value creation; and exit strategies. Students who have not completed FIN 300 will need to obtain instructor approval to remain in the course.
