Fundamentals of transonic flows; transonic characteristics and flow modeling, shock wave development, properties of shock wave, transonic similarity, shock-boundary layer interactions, three-dimensional effects, transonic solution techniques, transonic design, and transonic testing.
Prerequisite: ME 410.
