Credit: 3 hours.

Critical review of a range of theoretical and substantive issues at the frontiers of contemporary thinking about economic sociology through a close reading of primary works. In particular, it focuses on the key idea of "embeddedness," which refers to the connections between economic behavior and social structures and processes, and develops it by exploring various ways they connect with each other.

Prerequisite: SOC 485 or equivalent.
