Examination of the methods used to study human thought processes, including attention, memory, decision-making, language and concepts. Students will learn to design, carry out, and report research in cognitive psychology.

Prerequisite: PSYC 224 or PSYC 248; PSYC 235.

In lab sections, students will discuss and participate in a number of short cognitive psychology experiments. Students will also gain experience with descriptive statistics to summarize data, inferential tests to analyze results, and conveying the results of experiments in graphical and written form.
