Section Info:
Society and the Brain. The pupose of this course is to show students that they are, in fact, part of something larger than themselves. This three hour course will provide a broad overview of how human brains create societies, and how societies act back and influence individual brains. The social aspects will place the neurobiological facts in an exciting context. Lectures will be combined with open discussion, frequent quizzes and in-class activities designed to illustrate the principles involved. First Year Discovery Program Course. Registration restricted to freshman. Students should enroll in only one Discovery course.
