Students are assigned an actual, real world design problem for which they must develop, evaluate, and recommend alternative solutions and satisfy realistic constraints that include most of the following considerations: economic; environmental; sustainability; manufacturability; ethical; health and safety; social; political.

3 undergraduate hours. No graduate credit. Prerequisite: Concurrent enrollment in no more than two required IE courses; completion of all other required courses.
