Study of such major poets as Tennyson, Browning, Arnold, and Hardy; and of prose writers including Carlyle, Mill, Arnold, Pater, and Huxley.

3 undergraduate hours. 4 graduate hours. Prerequisite: One year of college literature or consent of instructor.
