Basic concepts in fluid dynamics with special emphasis on topics of interest to chemical and biomolecular engineers; derivation of the Navier-Stokes equations; solutions for creeping flow, for perfect fluids, and for boundary layers; non-Newtonian fluids; and turbulence.
Prerequisite: Consent of instructor.
