In this honors seminar, DGS James Scholar freshmen will learn to develop their strengths and interests, understand how to build transferrable skills, explore their academic choices, and investigate the landscape of the 21st century careers (regardless of academic major). Through class discussion, readings, projects and portfolio development, students will explore topics ranging from leadership and global understanding to creativity and successful intelligence. Students will also learn how to craft their own honors experience by understanding the many opportunities available at Illinois.
Credit is not given for both GS 102 and GS 101.
Students must register for both GS 102 and GS 199 concurrently.
Must enroll concurrently in GS 199.
