ESL 115
Fall 2009 All Classes
Credit: 3 hours.
Introduction to the research paper, including a variety of writing and skill-building tasks; development of peer and self-editing skills.
The ESL 114/ESL 115 sequence fulfills the campus Composition I requirement for non-native speakers of English. Prerequisite: ESL 114 or equivalent, recommendation from UIUC English as a Second Language Placement Test.
Proof of eligibility must be brought to the first meeting of the class. No student will be permitted to remain in the class who does not take the Diagnostic Test administered during the first three class meetings.
