Studies books and films that emphasize culture difference and the complexities of the post colonial world, focusing on the impact of migration and cultural interaction on contemporary France. Stresses themes of immigration and exile, tensions between relations of domination and exploitation and between colonizing and colonized peoples, and the cultural pluralities of community and nation.
