Credit: 4 hours.

Systematically and critically examines the theory, procedures, and techniques of selected practice models within four main approaches to social work: cognitive-behavioral, systemic (family and ecological systems; crisis intervention), task-centered, and radical-structural (structural; feminist). Uses selected criteria to analyze and assess those models, examines outcome research, and identifies current practice issues.

Prerequisite: SOCW 400.
