Russian Literary Translation

Credit: 3 OR 4 hours.

Theory and practice of literary translation in Russia from the eighteenth century to the present; "literal" versus "creative" translation; and practical work in translation into English of various Russian literary texts.

3 undergraduate hours. 3 or 4 graduate hours. Prerequisite: RUSS 302 or equivalent.
