The Tuesday class meetings will be will held in Room 341 LISB (east end, inside the ISRL suite); the Thursday class meetings will be held in the Soybean Press facility at the Facilities & Services Printing Department (249 Printing Building, 54 E. Gregory Drive, Champaign). A $35 non-waived fee for class materials (fee is not for a "field trip" as stated below) will be assessed to student's tuition & fees bill. Serving Child in Schools/Comm
Section Info:
Open to graduate students campuswide. Meets with LIS 390BTW and CI 260 BTW. A minimum of two hours per week of approved community service related to children is a requirement of the course. Placements will be at Booker T. Washington Elementary School in Champaign, with other sites added as needed by the instructors. Students must be able to tutor at least one of following times: Tu, Wed, Th from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Students available for more than two hours per week will be eligible to serve as room leaders in the BTW program.
