An introduction to plant metabolomics. Metabolites are not only compounds being modified in pathways, but also are signals that connect metabolic homeostasis to growth and development of organs and cells in plants. Introduces the complexities of metabolism profiling, the dynamics of metabolite changes in plants under stress, and the current concepts on pathway tracing and elucidation. Includes an introduction to basic and advanced research methods, including the use of statistical methods and bioinformatics.
Same as CPSC 469. Prerequisite: MCB 354; IB 472; or consent of instructor.
