EPSY 236

Credit: 3 hours.
Study of child growth and development designed particularly for those preparing to teach in the elementary school; special emphasis on the significance of the developmental process for educational programs and procedures; and systematic experience in studying and evaluating children's behavior and in supporting their learning and development. Includes limited voluntary participation as a subject in experiments.
Credit is not given for both EPSY 236 and PSYC 216. Prerequisite: PSYC 100.
On request, students will be required to participate in a total of 3 hours of experiments outside of class. Students enrolled in curricula offered by the college of education may not count both EPSY 236/PSYC 216 torward their degrees. Students must register for one discussion and one lecture section.
