AE 598MM Multifunctional Materials Systems Description: Survey and analysis of materials systems that exhibit multifunctional behavior, i.e. structural functionality combined with a secondary function. Active materials (e.g. piezoelectric, magnetostrictive, shape memory) and integrated materials systems (self-healing) will be examined.
