Systematic introduction to the sound structures of Spanish, concentrating on recent contributions of theoretical linguistics to the understanding of the phonology of Spanish in its standard and selected dialectal varieties.

3 undergraduate hours. 4 graduate hours. Prerequisite: SPAN 302 or equivalent introduction to Spanish or general linguistics.
