Materials Colloquium
Credit: 0 TO 1 hours.
Presentation of cutting-edge materials research given by visiting lectures from academia as well as national and industrial research laboratories. Some of the research currently done in the Department of MatSE will also be presented. Students meet with visitors for questions and discussion. Required of all graduate students in the department during their first two years. May be repeated. A maximum of 2 hours of MSE 590 may count toward the MatSE M.S. degree; likewise 4 hours for the MatSE Ph.D. degree. Approved for both letter and S/U grading.
