Advanced course on methods and current issues in historical linguistics including diachronic phonology, diachronic syntax, and language contact.

4 graduate hours. May be repeated to a maximum of 8 hours. Students may register in more than one section per term. May be repeated in subsequent terms to a maximum of 16 hours. Prerequisite: Graduate concentration in historical linguistics, or consent of instructor.
