Section Info:
Introduction to Horticulture, 1 hour. This course is designed to offer the student a general background in the basic principles of plant growth and development as they apply to the wide range of horticultural crops and the industries related to production, marketing, and use of horticultural crops. Horticultural crops include those plants that are used directly by people for food, drugs, and aesthetic gratification. Students attend the general lectures; the Discovery part of the course is the discussion section, taught by Professor Skirvin. First Year Discovery Program Course. Registration restricted to freshmen. Students should enroll in only one Discovery Course.
