Advanced discussion and analysis of theoretical and empirical approaches to the intersection of social and ecological processes at the human community level emphasizing change, conflict, management, and decision-making. Each student will complete a project applying community-related theory to a particular natural resource or environmental problem.
Prerequisite: Upper-level undergraduate course or graduate course in social science related to natural resources or environmental issues in NRES, Geography, Human and Community Development, Political Science, Psychology, Recreation Sport and Tourism, Sociology, or related field.
