Directed and supervised investigation of selected topics in information studies that may include among others computers and culture; information policy; community information systems; production, retrieval and evaluation of scientific or social science knowledge; computer-mediated communication; and computer-supported cooperative work.

Video Game Design
Section Info:
The course will cover the process of game design and development, resulting in a final class project of a game demo using the Torque Engine by GarageGames. No experience with Torque is necessary but being familiar with programs such as Game Builder and Adobe Flash is a plus. Issues covered in this course will include accessibility for gamers with disabilities, as well as mature sexual and violent themes.
